Air Handlers

An air handler is known as the indoor unit in a heat pump system. An air handler acts as the air management system for the indoor coil of a heat pump or air conditioner, and usually as the back-up as well. Air handlers are similar to furnaces in that it moves air throughout the building; although, air handlers only circulate heat when paired with a heat pump. Like furnaces, air handlers use a blower motor to move conditioned air throughout the ductwork.
